Some rusty old tractors we got for free

A lot of this is junk, but there is at least one diamond in the rough here. It was a sight unseen must-take-all kind of deal, so we went with Sterling’s diesel Dodge truck and a borrowed trailer and pulled these relics out of a poison ivy filled muddy yard and brought them to tractor land. Oh yeah, and Dave got a bed liner for his Chevy for free too.

No, the head gasket …
No, the head gasket is probably OK, sounds like it could have bad rings though. You might want to do a compression test anyway though.

i have a 2004 …
i have a 2004 craftsman 6.75 hp briggs & stratton and it burns oil. i took the head appart it check the headgasket, and some of the screws were covered in oil, does that mean the headgasket, is bad?

I just got a call …
I just got a call from a guy that says he has a free tractor for me. A craftsman 15hp 44inch cut and it even comes with a snowblower attachment. Says it started 2 yearts ago. Picking it up sometime this weekend or next.

We got the two …
We got the two Agway’s running somewhat. The Sears SS16 has a bad starter so we couldn’t do anything with that, and the Millennium has a seized motor thanks to not having a hood or carb cover for so many years.

Well, my old one …
Well, my old one lasted for 19 years, it’s just not powerful enough for my bigger yard, the John Deere’s looked cheaper, the hood is all plastic, the Craftsman looks good with 24 Briggs, all metal, made in USA and just looked better in total!?!
