Paul Berge is travelling a Side Road that takes him off the Fairgrounds to Nemaha and 10 years into the past. He’s following the trail of the Farmall square dancing tractors, which are on their “goodbye” tour.

Eat your heart out, Rockettes! Here are tractors doing what you do so well. Nemaha, Iowa -for the last 10 years -had these guys putting on this show for midwestern farm folks. The Farmall Hs are the “Men” and the Farmall Cs are the “Women” in this “Dance”. This concept hails from a half-century ago, when International Harvester used these “Square Dancing Tractors” to show farmers how much more maneuverable these Farmalls were, in comparison to John Deeres, who at that time, used a hand clutch to control gear engagement.
Keep in mind, while you are watching, that none of these tractors have power steering.
